Brief History

When the Casket & Monument Company opened its doors on January 2, 2006 its goal was to offer affordable prices on caskets, urns and monuments. It offered free information to empower families who either had an immediate need or wanted to plan for traditional funeral or cremation services. It helped clients locate affordable cemetery property at many cemeteries in the greater Los Angeles area at reduced prices.

Back in the days, caskets started at $599.00 and monuments started at $335.00 for a 12″ x 24″ granite of either black or gray. There were also 18 other colors of granite available. Photographs and etchings could be added at an additional cost, and each design included all inscription and any two emblems in our inventory. But prices and products have changed since then. So you would serve yourself well to avail of the current prices and products as soon as you can to avoid the rising costs.

It also offer Pre-Need Funeral insurance for traditional funerals or cremations. Advance planning saves money and it can help avoid the emotional upheaval that comes with a sudden loss. Plans can be paid in full or over a 1, 3 or 5 year period and they include an accidental death benefit clause.

Funeral costs double every 7 to 10 years, but pre-planning locks in costs at today’s prices for the rest of your life and all mortuaries accept the plans. You make choices so that your survivors will never have to. You decide what you want and because you’re planning for yourself you will not over spend.
